This
study was aimed at identifying the role of sport in achieving peace in the Arab
region in light of the internal and regional conflicts, through the identification
of (the nature and essence of the Arab conflict, the factors influencing the
emergence of the Arab conflict, the causes of the Arab conflicts, sports and
social systems, relationship between sport and politics, diplomacy Sports and
resolving Arab conflicts), the researcher used the descriptive analytical
method, which relies on data collection, collation, analysis and linkage
between their meanings; to interpret and access to important conclusions
contribute to clarify the relationship between the current study variables
(internal and regional Arab conflicts - the role of sport in achieving peace)
by reference to the literature and the results of some studies and theoretical
research and field, regional and international experiences in this relevant to
the study area, and represented the most important conclusions that sport can
support the internal politics of the Arab countries and working to counter
sectarian and ethnic, sectarian and tribal conflicts, through the strengthening
of volunteer work practices in sport and promote affiliation youth sports teams
familiar with the leadership and dependency and instilling in them equality and
equal opportunities, which is the basis for sports practice values, as they
promote cohesion and national unity and national identity values, sports
diplomacy an important and effective role in solving problems between the
conflicting parties, whether between people of one nation or between nations
and peoples in conflict as the center of paving and appropriate factor
mitigating the severity of the conflict, and a natural gateway for
international meetings, as well as its ability to enhance the status and
sublimation factors conflict and convert them to compete Sharif.
